Wind Mitigation Inspection Process Your wind mitigation inspection will take between 30 and 45 minutes. The inspector will need access to your attic in order to locate your roof to wall connectors, roof deck attachment, secondary water barrier, and gable end bracing. Wind mitigation inspections require the inspector to obtain your hurricane shutter impact rating (if shutters are present). The wind mitigation inspection will also certify the house wall construction type, and the year the roof was installed. Your wind mitigation inspection and required pictures will be emailed to you, and filed with your agent at your request.
